Within Tasmania, Forico manages 181,000 hectares of freehold land that includes approximately 100,000 hectares of plantation. Natural forest areas within the forest estate are managed for biodiversity and conservation values.

We are committed to achieving sustainable forest management results across all aspects of our business. We aim to demonstrate open and transparent communication to our investors, customers, the community, and our employees. Refer to the Policy and Resource Download Page for information that demonstrates Forico's commitment to sustainable forest management principles.

Our plantations and natural forests are currently certified to the Forest Stewardship Council® (FSC®) Forest Management Standard and the Australian Standard for Sustainable Forest Management which demonstrates a commitment to responsible forest management.  The Responsible Wood Certification Scheme is endorsed by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification Schemes (PEFC).

In addition, Forico is certified to the FSC® and The Responsible Wood Chain of Custody (CoC) Standards.  Chain of Custody traces material through all stages of the supply chain, so that Forico wood fibre products can be sold to customers with certification claims.

Forico’s Environmental Management System is also certified to ISO 14001, demonstrating a commitment to develop and review environmental performance, including assessment and control of environmental risks.

The most recent third party certifcation scheme audit reports can be accessed through the Forico Policy and Resource Page. Please contact forico@forico.com.au if you would like to access older versions of audits from previous years.

Further details about certification can found on the FSC® Australia website or the Responsible Wood website.
