The bare roots of the job…

The role of the Operations Forester is to assist the Strategic Logistics team with implementation of forest operations through the following:

  • Implementation of forest operation works programs for roading, harvest and haulage operations
  • Monitoring compliance of activities to our SH&E Policies and Procedures
  • Development and execution of Forest Practice Plans (FPP’s)
  • Participation in the fire duty roster and being available on call for this roster.

Who will join our journey…

We look forward to hearing from applicants both within and outside of the forestry industry. The Operations Forester will ideally have a Cert IV in Forest Management, be an FPO or be prepared to complete this qualification. A Diploma or Degree in a relevant discipline will be well regarded. Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they are skilled to:

  • Manage stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery and the best outcomes for the business;
  • Hold knowledge and understanding of environmental and biological processes and potential impacts;
  • Have the ability to work with a strong safety focus autonomously and within a team;
  • Have a commitment to fitness and wellbeing;
  • Hold a current C Class Drivers Licence.
