This week Forico has gratefully farewelled two non-executive Directors, Tracy Matthews and Beth Mathison, both of whom reached the end of their term with the Board on 26th February. Ms Matthews and Ms Mathison were appointed in November 2021 for a three year term, bringing extensive experience from the private, government and not-for-profit sectors.

Both based in Hobart, they brought a strong commitment to the state’s economic prosperity and an understanding of its natural values. Their experience in business and governance has helped inform Forico’s strategic direction as the state’s largest private forest and landscape manager.

‘Ms Matthews and Ms Mathison have been active contributors to the Board over the past three years, helping position Forico as a leader in sustainable plantation forestry. We thank them for their contributions and wish them well for the future,’ said Chairman of the Board, Matt Crapp. The continuing board of six non-executive directors is excited to continue to build on this legacy.’

Beyond their influence at Board level, Ms Matthews and Ms Mathison were frequent visitors to Forico’s operational sites, engaging regularly with the Forico workforce.

‘On behalf of the Board and Forico’s executives and staff, we thank Ms Matthews and Ms Mathison for their contribution at Board level, and for their approachable and highly regarded presence in the business at all levels,’ said Forico Chief Executive Officer, Evangelista Albertini.
