The bare roots of the job…
We’re looking for an experienced Forest Certification Advisor to join our Sustainability Team in either the North or North-West of the state. This is a key role responsible for managing Forico’s forest certification programs and supporting compliance with recognised best practice management standards that underpin our operations.
You will champion Forico’s sustainability credentials, facilitate certification audits, execute reporting requirements, drive ecosystem services initiatives and optimise the continuous improvement of our management systems. The role offers a mix of office-based work, site visits and ad hoc fieldwork, offering variety and strong exposure across the forest estate.
Working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders, you’ll help implement effective environmental strategies, ensure Forico meets its regulatory and certification obligations and maintains a strong reputation for excellence in sustainable forest management.
Who will join our journey…
You’ll be a proactive and adaptable professional with a strong safety mindset that aligns with Forico’s Work Safe, Home Safe culture. You’ll bring clear communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex requirements across multiple systems and stakeholders.
Experience with certification frameworks and environmental or forestry management is ideal, or as a minimum, the willingness and capability to grow in these areas. The ability to balance planning, coordination, and on‑the‑ground problem solving is required, along with the ability to work across both office and field environments.
