The bare roots of the job…
The role of the Plantation Forester NE to assist the Silviculture Manager and the team with implementation of Forico’s plantation management objectives including planning, establishment works, maintenance works, contractor management, and stakeholder interactio n. This position will also have a critical focus on enhancing plantation health, vitality and productivity outcomes.
Who will join our journey…
This position would ideally suit an individual who has a tertiary degree or diploma in a relevant discipline (Forestry/Environmental Science/Agriculture) with a Forest Practices Officer (inspecting or planning) qualification considered favourably. In addition to this, the successful individual will have:
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a consultative and empathetic approach
Skilled in establishing and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to plan for and meet tight deadlines, including attention to detail and ability to self-review work for accuracy
Commercial mindset with the ability to think strategically and make sound decisions
Ability to identify improvements and effectively manage change initiatives
Proficient computer skills and a current Australian drivers licence.
