The bare roots of the job ...
The Mill Operator will provide production services and operational duties onsite at SHM to enable the processing and supply of wood chips in a safe, efficient and cost-effective manner. Working as a multi-skilled operator, the successful incumbent will operate mobile, fixed plant and equipment, assist with weighbridge operations, trade assistant duties and general onsite housekeeping duties.

This position will suit individuals who have relative industry work experience in either forestry, mill operations, control room operations, machinery experience (mobile plant/diesel equipment and/or experience in maintenance systems).
For your application to be considered you will also have good communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to build working relationships with key stakeholders, be computer proficient, have strong environmental awareness, knowledge of safe systems of work, be a team player and have the ability to follow instructions. You will also require a current Tasmanian Drivers Licence.
