The bare roots of the job…

The P&C Advisors will offer support and advice in relation to a broad range of human resource activities, including but not limited to recruitment and onboarding, learning and development, performance management, policy and procedure development and review, employee relations, culture and engagement, leader partnering, building capability and coaching, workforce planning, people processes, data reporting and various P&C projects.

These positions will work closely with all areas of the business and have the opportunity to take responsibility for specific tasks/projects, as well as play a key role in developing and enhancing culture, people, systems and processes.

Who will join our journey…

You will describe yourself as a "true generalist" and can back this up.  You will have a tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or a relevant discipline and broad demonstrated experience in contemporary human resource practices, i.e. the breadth, curiosity and the judgement and confidence to work across the full P&C spectrum.

We are particularly interested in applicants who are:

  • Curious – you want to under the ‘why’ , not just apply a process

  • Pragmatic – you understand that good P&C advice needs to work in the real world

  • Courageous – you’re comfortable having the conversation that needs to be had

  • Commercial – you understand that P&C exists to enable people and organisational performance

  • Human – you treat people with respect, even when the conversation is difficult

  • Analytical – you can move beyond anecdotes and use data, evidence and sound judgement

  • Adaptable – you are happy to move from strategic thinking to rolling up your sleeves and getting something done

  • A genuine generalist – you enjoy the variety and don’t need a narrowly defined lane.

Our perfect candidate will also have highly developed written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead, coach and influence to achieve objectives; the ability to apply strategic, big picture thinking; have the ability to maintain and foster close working relationships; be agile and adaptable, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines; have a high level of motivation and initiative and be able to maintain confidentiality and build trust to deal with sensitive and difficult situations.

We’re open to how this role could work for you — whether that’s full-time, part-time, job share, or another flexible arrangement. If you’re excited about either of these positions but need flexibility or have an idea of how an alternate work arrangement could meet the needs of this role, we’d love to hear from you.
